This laboratory manual is designed for one-semester/summer introductory microbiology and parasitology course for nursing students. Hands-on laboratory experiences are highly desirable to flesh out and clarify the lecture sessions. Hence, in the preparation of this laboratory manual many alterations and additions have been done with the objective of fitting more closely the different activities described herein to supplement or reinforce what is being taught in the lecture. This manual is also designed for student''s use with least assistance from the teacher. Activities have been selected based on applicability and availability of materials and simplicity of the procedure.
